MSC World Atlantic

Cruising Winter 2027 From Port Canaveral

MSC World Atlantic: Everything You Need to Know About MSC’s Newest World-Class Ship (Plus Drew Barrymore’s Surprise Cameo!)

Published: December 11, 2025 7:10 AM

MSC Cruises is leveling up again! On December 10, 2025, MSC opened sales for the brand-new MSC World Atlantic, the fourth ship in its World Class series… and they brought Drew Barrymore along for the celebration.

Yep — Drew is back, and this time she’s the ship’s self-appointed “cool god aunt.”

But titles aside, MSC World Atlantic is shaping up to be MSC’s most balanced, most refined, and most modern World Class ship yet — blending European sophistication, American comfort, and fresh new entertainment in a way that sets it apart from sister ships World Europa, World America, and World Asia.

And starting November 13, 2027, she’ll sail year-round from Port Canaveral, offering alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries (including must-stops at Ocean Cay).

Here’s everything travelers need to know — from the new venues to the upgraded entertainment, to how World Atlantic compares to the rest of the fleet.

Drew Barrymore Introduces MSC World Atlantic as the “Cool God Aunt”

To celebrate opening day of bookings, MSC dropped a playful announcement video starring Drew Barrymore, godmother of MSC World America. In classic Drew style, she riffs about how her “god daughter” (World America) growing up means she’s now the “cool aunt” of MSC World Atlantic.

Her exact words:

“Now that pride extends to being MSC World Atlantic’s god aunt. I’ll be the cool god aunt!”

Drew filmed the video from the MSC Yacht Club’s Top Sail Lounge, giving fans a sneak peek into the luxury suite experience MSC is known for.

Meet MSC World Atlantic: The Newest Star of the World Class Fleet

MSC World Atlantic blends the familiar futuristic WOW-factor of the World Class platform with significant new design choices:

Sleeker, aerodynamic aft design

A more streamlined tail replaces World Europa’s signature Y-shape for better views and airflow.

A wider, ocean-forward promenade

More open-air dining, more deck space, more nightlife energy.

New entertainment concepts

The NeoWave Theatre brings holographic performances and 300° projection for immersive shows.

Brand-new venues

  • Viva La Musica (Latin nightlife)
  • The Clubhouse (retro family-fun concept, new to the U.S.)
  • Atlantic Pulse Water Coaster
  • Atlantic Solarium adults-only oasis

The largest Yacht Club sun deck in the MSC fleet

More cabanas, more space, more luxury.

30+ dining and lounge experiences

From classic Italian to American-style steakhouses to bold Japanese teppanyaki.

And because World Atlantic is built for modern travelers, it also features:

  • LNG fuel capability
  • Shoreside power technology
  • Advanced recycling + wastewater systems
  • Noise-reduction propulsion

This ship walks the walk on sustainability.

The NeoWave Theatre: Entertainment on Overdrive

World Atlantic introduces MSC’s most ambitious theater yet — the NeoWave Theatre, featuring:

  • 300° projection screens
  • Holographic stage elements
  • Motion-synced lighting
  • Immersive concerts
  • Multi-angle, flexible staging

If Luna Park Arena on World Europa impressed you, NeoWave is the glow-up. This is the entertainment venue everyone is going to talk about.

New Venues You Won’t Find on Any Other MSC Ship

MSC World Atlantic debuts two major new concepts:

Viva La Musica — A Latin Celebration

A lively bar and lounge celebrating Latin culture through:

  • Live bands
  • Salsa nights
  • Cocktails inspired by Latin America
  • Dance-forward energy

Think “Caribbean nights meets Miami vibe.”

The Clubhouse — New to the U.S. & Built for Fun

This retro-fun space includes:

  • The LEGO® Family Zone
  • Classic table games
  • Bumper cars
  • Roller skating
  • Basketball
  • Day-to-night fun for the whole family

It’s part arcade, part activity hub, part social lounge — and entirely new for MSC in North America.

“Where Worlds Meet” — Global Influences Everywhere

MSC designed World Atlantic to merge cultural influences from both sides of the Atlantic:

  • European style
  • American comfort
  • Global cuisines
  • Latin nightlife
  • Asian dining
  • Caribbean energy

It’s a “world sampler” at sea.

  • Nassau
  • Ocean Cay

Western Caribbean
