Disney Cruise Line is heading back to New York City for the first time since 2023, with Disney Wish scheduled to offer seven special cruises from Manhattan in fall 2027. The return is one of several major changes in Disney’s newly announced fall 2027 and spring 2028 itineraries.
The expanded schedule also brings more cruises from San Juan, maiden calls in Panama, three Wish Class ships to Port Canaveral and continued departures from Fort Lauderdale, San Diego, Galveston and Singapore.
Bookings open first to select Castaway Club members on August 31, 2026, followed by general bookings on September 8.
Disney Wish Will Sail From New York City
Disney Wish will arrive in New York in late September 2027 following the ship’s inaugural season in Europe. From there, the ship will offer seven cruises ranging from four to seven nights.
Five of the New York sailings will visit Bermuda, with three providing an additional day on the island.
Disney will also return to New England and Atlantic Canada from New York for the first time in nearly four years. Disney Wish will visit Boston, St. John in New Brunswick and Halifax, Nova Scotia, during the fall season.
The timing places those cruises during autumn, giving families an opportunity to combine Disney cruising with the seasonal landscapes along the New England and Canadian coasts.
Disney Wish Continues From New York to San Juan
Disney Wish will eventually leave New York on a five-night repositioning cruise to San Juan, Puerto Rico, with a stop in Bermuda.
From San Juan, the ship will operate a seven-night Southern Caribbean cruise visiting Aruba, St. Maarten, Bonaire and Dominica.
Disney Wish will then reposition to Port Canaveral on a four-night cruise that visits both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Once in Port Canaveral, Disney Wish will resume three- and four-night Bahamian cruises featuring Disney’s island destinations.
Disney Fantasy Adds More Cruises From San Juan
Disney Fantasy will also increase Disney Cruise Line’s presence in Puerto Rico during the new schedule.
In December 2027, the ship will offer a seven-night Southern Caribbean cruise from San Juan followed by a five-night Eastern Caribbean voyage ending in Fort Lauderdale.
Disney Fantasy will return to San Juan in late April and May 2028 for two additional seven-night Southern Caribbean cruises. Destinations highlighted for those voyages include Curaçao, Bonaire, Barbados and Antigua.
The expanded San Juan schedule gives travelers another option for reaching Southern Caribbean islands that are farther from Disney’s major Florida homeports.
Disney Magic Will Sail Two Panama Canal Cruises
Disney Magic will operate two 14-night Panama Canal repositioning cruises, with each voyage introducing a maiden call for Disney Cruise Line.
In November 2027, Disney Magic will depart San Diego for an eastbound voyage to Galveston. The sailing will make Disney’s first call at Fuerte Amador, serving Panama City.
In March 2028, the ship will reverse course on a 14-night westbound cruise from Galveston to San Diego. That voyage will include Disney Cruise Line’s maiden call at Colón, Panama, on the Caribbean side of the canal.
The two repositioning voyages combine a full Panama Canal transit with destinations that are new to Disney’s cruise network.
Three Wish Class Ships Will Sail From Port Canaveral
Beginning in November 2027, Port Canaveral will become home to three Wish Class ships.
Disney Destiny will homeport there for the first time, offering three- to seven-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean cruises. Before moving to Port Canaveral, Disney Destiny will begin fall 2027 in Fort Lauderdale with three- to five-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean sailings.
Disney Wish will join the Port Canaveral lineup after completing its New York and San Juan cruises.
Disney Treasure will continue seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, with destinations including Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and Falmouth, Jamaica. The ship will also offer one eight-night Eastern Caribbean sailing and one six-night Bahamas cruise featuring two visits to Disney Castaway Cay.
Disney Dream and Fantasy Add More Florida Options
Disney Dream will begin with three- and four-night Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral before repositioning to Fort Lauderdale in November 2027.
From Fort Lauderdale, the ship will operate three- to five-night Bahamas itineraries along with one six-night cruise featuring two calls at Disney Castaway Cay.
Disney Fantasy will sail from Port Canaveral between September and November 2027 on four- and five-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean cruises before moving to San Juan and then Fort Lauderdale.
From Fort Lauderdale, Disney Fantasy will operate four- to seven-night Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean itineraries. The ship will also make its first cruise to Bermuda on an eight-night voyage that visits both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Disney Magic and Wonder Continue From San Diego
Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will both begin the season sailing from San Diego through early November 2027.
The ships will offer three- to seven-night Baja and Mexican Riviera cruises.
Disney Wonder will remain in San Diego during the fall 2027 and spring 2028 seasons, with itineraries including Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas and Catalina Island.
After Disney Magic completes its eastbound Panama Canal cruise, the ship will spend the season in Galveston operating four- to seven-night voyages.
Select seven-night Bahamas cruises from Galveston will visit both Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and Disney Castaway Cay.
Disney Adventure Continues Sailing From Singapore
Disney Adventure will continue operating from Singapore with new three- and four-night itineraries between September and December 2027.
Select sailings beginning December 31, 2026, will add Langkawi, Malaysia, as a new port of call. Disney highlights the island’s rainforests and coastline as opportunities for guests heading ashore.
Halloween and Christmas Cruises Return
Disney’s seasonal celebrations will return aboard select ships in fall 2027.
Halloween on the High Seas cruises begin in September, with Disney characters in Halloween costumes, themed entertainment, deck parties and trick-or-treating at sea.
Very Merrytime cruises return in November and December, featuring holiday decorations, a tree lighting, special deck parties, seasonal treats and visits from Santa Claus.
With Disney Wish returning to New York, expanded San Juan departures, maiden calls in Panama and a larger collection of ships operating from Florida, California and Texas, the fall 2027 and spring 2028 schedule gives families considerably more choices in both departure ports and destinations.
