MSC Cruises is adding five new bar and lounge concepts aboard MSC World Asia, ranging from a family-friendly soda bar to an Italian aperitivo lounge and a venue serving cocktails inspired by Asian flavors.
The new flagship will feature more than 40 bars, lounges, cafés and restaurants when it begins seven-night Mediterranean cruises on December 4, 2026. The five newly revealed concepts are Clubhouse and Soda Bar, Sky Box Bar, The Terraces Bar & Lounge, Coral Cove Bar and Pan Asian Bar.
For cruisers, the variety is the main takeaway. MSC is creating spaces aimed at very different parts of the day and different types of travelers, including families looking for non-alcoholic drinks and games, wine enthusiasts interested in tastings and adults looking for cocktails before a show or while watching the sunset.
Clubhouse and Soda Bar Brings Families Together
One of the biggest departures from a traditional cruise ship bar will be Clubhouse and Soda Bar, a colorful venue inspired by the 1980s and 1990s.
At the Soda Bar, guests can create personalized non-alcoholic drinks by selecting a soda base and adding cream, flavored syrups and toppings.
The surrounding Clubhouse is designed for families and friends rather than simply as a place to order drinks. During the day, the venue will feature MSC Cruises-themed games, interactive digital tables and challenges. Families and younger guests can also visit a LEGO area, while The Court will offer bumper cars and activities for different ages.
At night, the space will transition into a more energetic social venue, with both cocktails and mocktails available.
Sky Box Bar Adds Mixology Before the Show
Sky Box Bar will be located within the Luna Park Arena and designed as a smaller, more sophisticated drinking venue.
The concept draws inspiration from early 20th-century Futurism, with bartenders reworking familiar cocktails through a contemporary menu. MSC says guests will also see elements of mixology theater as bartenders prepare drinks.
The bar will serve premium spirits and cocktails and is intended to work particularly well as a pre-show stop before entertainment in Luna Park Arena or as a late-night venue afterward.
The Terraces Brings Italian Aperitivo to Sea
The Terraces Bar & Lounge takes a very different approach, pairing panoramic ocean views with an Italian aperitivo-inspired menu.
Classic cocktails will include Negronis and Aperol Spritzes, accompanied by a selection of other spritzes, wines and prosecco. Traditional bites such as focaccia and olives will complement the drinks.
The venue will offer indoor live music as well as an outdoor terrace overlooking the sea. Wine enthusiasts will also be able to participate in expert-led tasting sessions featuring selected local varieties connected with destinations visited during the cruise.
With its terrace and evening atmosphere, MSC is positioning the venue as a place to watch the sunset while enjoying drinks and live music.
Coral Cove Bar Creates a Poolside Retreat
Coral Cove Bar will be located within the Coral Cove Pool and takes its design inspiration from a Philippine coral reef.
The poolside bar will offer classic drinks in a relaxed setting designed for guests to unwind and socialize throughout the day.
Unlike some of the more elaborate new concepts, Coral Cove is focused primarily on creating an easygoing place for a drink without requiring guests to leave the pool area.
Pan Asian Bar Adds Asian-Inspired Cocktails
Pan Asian Bar will overlook the Promenade and form part of the new Pan Asian Street Food restaurant concept.
The bar's drinks will draw inspiration from Asian flavors, with cocktails including Jasmine Mojitos, Rose and Strawberry Daiquiris and Matcha Coladas.
Beer drinkers will have a selection of beers from across Asia, along with a specially crafted beer produced at sea with what MSC describes as oriental notes.
The accompanying Pan Asian Street Food concept will include three venues inspired by Southeast Asian street food, placing the bar within a broader dining experience.
Popular MSC Bars Will Return
MSC World Asia's new venues will join several concepts already familiar to MSC Cruises guests.
Coffee Emporium will return for travelers looking for coffee, while Fizz - Champagne Bar will provide a more traditional Champagne-focused experience.
All-Stars Sports Bar will also return, along with Masters of the Sea, where beer is crafted onboard.
Together, the returning venues and new concepts will contribute to a lineup of more than 40 bars, lounges, cafés and restaurants aboard the ship.
MSC World Asia Will Have 13 New and Reimagined Experiences
MSC World Asia is the third ship in MSC Cruises' World Class series. The ship will feature design details influenced by Asian culture, art and landscapes, including elements incorporated into its bars and lounges.
Compared with MSC World Europa, the first ship in the class, MSC World Asia will introduce 13 new experiences and reimagined spaces.
The five newly announced bar concepts provide one of the clearest looks yet at how MSC plans to differentiate the ship, with spaces ranging from a nostalgic family clubhouse to Asian-inspired drinks and an Italian terrace lounge.
MSC World Asia Debuts in December 2026
MSC World Asia will begin sailing seven-night Mediterranean itineraries on December 4, 2026.
The cruises will visit Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia for Rome, Messina and Valletta.
For travelers considering the new ship, the bar and lounge announcement adds more detail to the onboard experience beyond the destinations. Families can create their own sodas and play games during the day, wine enthusiasts can join tastings at The Terraces, and guests looking for evening drinks will have several distinct options ranging from cocktails at Sky Box Bar to Asian-inspired beverages overlooking the Promenade.
