Seabourn has opened bookings for an ambitious 138-day World Cruise aboard Seabourn Quest that will connect 58 destinations across 31 countries and territories, including remote islands, major cities and more than 25 UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The 2029 World Cruise: Iconic Islands & Remote Horizons departs Miami on January 7, 2029, and concludes in Lisbon on May 26. Over more than 32,000 nautical miles, Seabourn Quest will travel across five continents and visit 32 islands, with the itinerary stretching from the Americas and South Pacific to Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe.
For travelers considering a full World Cruise, one of the biggest features is time ashore. Seabourn has built 20 extended stays into the itinerary, including eight overnight calls, while also creating exclusive cultural events and land experiences for guests sailing the complete voyage.
From Miami to Lisbon Across Five Continents
Seabourn Quest will begin in Miami before traveling through the Americas and into the South Pacific. The itinerary then continues through New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia and the Indian Ocean before reaching Africa and eventually Europe.
The voyage mixes well-known destinations with places less commonly included on traditional cruise itineraries. Among the highlights are Bora Bora, Easter Island, Zanzibar, Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands, Praslin in the Seychelles, Antsiranana in Madagascar, Akaroa in New Zealand and Burnie in Tasmania.
Seabourn says the smaller size of Seabourn Quest allows the ship to reach ports and destinations that can be inaccessible to larger vessels, helping the itinerary combine major destinations with more remote stops.
More Than 25 UNESCO World Heritage Sites
The World Cruise includes opportunities to visit more than 25 UNESCO World Heritage sites along its route.
Highlighted sites include Easter Island in Chile, Fiordland National Park in New Zealand, Stone Town of Zanzibar and the Sacred City of Kandy, accessible through Colombo.
The mix gives travelers opportunities to experience archaeological sites, natural landscapes and culturally significant destinations during the same extended voyage.
Eight Overnight Calls Give Guests More Time Ashore
Seabourn has scheduled eight overnight calls during the 138-day journey, allowing guests to experience selected destinations beyond a standard daytime port visit.
- Lima, Peru
- Easter Island, Chile
- Bora Bora, French Polynesia
- Bali, Indonesia
- Singapore
- Sydney, Australia
- Zanzibar, Tanzania
- Cape Town, South Africa
The itinerary also includes extended stays in Cartagena, Auckland, Napier, Melbourne, Portland, Adelaide, Busselton, Fremantle, Colombo, Victoria, Walvis Bay and Las Palmas.
For travelers making a four-and-a-half-month journey, those longer stays provide more opportunities to experience destinations at a slower pace instead of moving quickly from one port to the next.
Exclusive Experiences in Bali and Cape Town
Guests sailing the complete World Cruise will receive several experiences created specifically for the voyage, including an included two-day, one-night Seabourn Journey in Bali.
The Bali program will combine private cultural encounters, culinary experiences, village visits and access to local traditions focused on the island's heritage and arts.
Another exclusive event takes place in Cape Town at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. Full World Cruise guests will receive private after-hours access to the museum, along with regional cuisine, live entertainment and views of Table Mountain.
Optional Land Adventures Go Even Farther
Travelers who want to extend their exploration beyond the scheduled ports can choose optional Seabourn Journeys land programs.
Options highlighted by Seabourn include the Galápagos Islands, Machu Picchu, Uluru, the Taj Mahal, African safari destinations and Easter Island.
These programs provide another way to build significant inland destinations into the broader World Cruise itinerary.
Seabourn Quest Has Received a Major Interior Refresh
The ship itself has also undergone changes ahead of the World Cruise. Seabourn Quest recently completed a dry dock that Seabourn describes as one of the most comprehensive interior updates in its history.
The work included refreshed suites, enhanced public spaces, updated dining venues and spa improvements.
During the voyage, days at sea will feature destination-focused enrichment, expert speakers through Seabourn Conversations, culinary events, cultural performances and entertainment inspired by the regions being visited.

With 138 days, 58 destinations, 31 countries and territories, 32 islands and eight overnight calls, Seabourn's 2029 itinerary is designed for travelers who want to turn a World Cruise into an extended exploration rather than simply a collection of port visits. The combination of remote islands, major cultural destinations and longer stays gives Seabourn Quest a particularly varied route as it travels from Miami to Lisbon.
