Carnival Cruise Line is expanding its West Coast cruise options for the 2028/29 season, opening a new collection of sailings from Long Beach aboard Carnival Radiance and Carnival Panorama. The lineup gives travelers more choices for visiting Mexico, ranging from three-day Baja getaways to eight-day Mexican Riviera itineraries.
The new season runs from May 2028 through April 2029, giving cruisers year-round opportunities to sail from Carnival’s Long Beach homeport. The itineraries are split between the two ships, with Carnival Radiance focusing on shorter Baja Mexico escapes and Carnival Panorama offering longer cruises through the Mexican Riviera.
Carnival Radiance Offers Short Mexico Getaways
For travelers who want a shorter cruise, Carnival Radiance will continue offering three- and four-day itineraries from Long Beach.
The three-day cruises visit Ensenada, Mexico, providing a quick Baja getaway. The four-day itineraries add a stop in Catalina Island, giving travelers an additional destination without requiring a longer vacation.
Carnival is also adding a special five-day holiday-season sailing aboard Carnival Radiance. Departing Dec. 21, 2028, the itinerary visits Catalina Island, Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada.
That sailing gives travelers looking at the 2028 holiday season another option for combining a West Coast departure with stops in both Baja Mexico and the Mexican Riviera.
Carnival Panorama Takes on Longer Mexican Riviera Cruises
Carnival Panorama will offer the longer itineraries in the new Long Beach lineup, with six- and eight-day cruises focused on the Mexican Riviera.
The six-day sailings include Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada. An especially notable feature is that the itinerary includes two days in Cabo San Lucas, giving travelers extended time in the destination.
For an even longer Mexico cruise, Carnival Panorama’s eight-day itineraries visit four destinations: Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta.
With four ports included, the eight-day option provides a broader Mexican Riviera itinerary for travelers who want to spend more time exploring Mexico rather than choosing a quick three- or four-day getaway.
