Norwegian Cruise Line is making summer cruising easier for travelers who would rather drive to their cruise than fly, offering 50% off all cruises from 15 convenient homeports across the continental United States and Canada. The promotion also includes Kids Sail Free on select sailings.
The offer covers a wide range of summer cruise options, from short Bahamas getaways to seven-day Caribbean and Alaska itineraries. NCL is also highlighting its Free at Sea package, which can add potential savings of more than $2,000 on popular extras including unlimited open bar, specialty dining, shore excursions and Wi-Fi.
For cruisers looking for a last-minute summer vacation, the combination of discounted cruise fares, close-to-home departures and flexible itinerary lengths gives travelers several ways to build a trip around their schedules.
Caribbean and Bahamas Cruises From Florida
From June through September 2026, four Norwegian Cruise Line ships will sail from Miami and Port Canaveral, near Orlando, offering three-, four- and seven-day cruises to the Caribbean and Bahamas.
Itineraries include visits to Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas, along with destinations such as Cozumel, Mexico; St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola in the British Virgin Islands; and Falmouth, Jamaica.
Travelers looking for a newer-ship experience can choose Norwegian Luna, which offers seven-day roundtrip Eastern Caribbean cruises from Miami. The ship features NCL’s Aqua Slidecoaster, a combination waterslide and rollercoaster, along with restaurants, bars, spacious staterooms and nightly entertainment.
Norwegian Luna’s entertainment lineup includes “ELTON: A Celebration of Elton John,” a tribute show featuring hits from the legendary musician.
Great Stirrup Cay Gets Even More to Do
Great Stirrup Cay is another major part of NCL’s summer Caribbean and Bahamas offering. The private island has received a series of enhancements, giving guests more options for both active days and relaxing beach time.
The biggest new attraction is Great Tides Waterpark, which is scheduled to officially open on September 4, 2026. The nearly six-acre waterpark will feature 19 waterslides, industry-first cliffside jumps, Splash Cay, a 9,000-square-foot kids’ splash zone, and the Wandering River, a nearly 800-foot water experience with an accelerated current.
Other recent improvements include Great Life Lagoon, a large pool area with two swim-up bars, and Splash Harbor, a complimentary kids’ splash zone. Adults looking for a quieter experience can visit Vibe Shore Club, an adults-only retreat with premium beach seating and a private bar.
Guests can also choose activities such as paddleboarding and ziplining. NCL says guests with its Free at Sea package can use their unlimited beverage package on Great Stirrup Cay as well as aboard the ship.
Bermuda Cruises From Boston, New York and Philadelphia
NCL is also offering summer Bermuda cruises from three Northeast homeports: Boston, New York and Philadelphia. The Philadelphia departure is particularly notable because NCL says it marks the cruise line’s return to the city after 15 years.
Through August, Norwegian Jewel will operate seven-day cruises from Philadelphia to Bermuda. Many of the Bermuda itineraries include overnight stays, giving passengers additional time to explore the island’s beaches, waters and local culture.
Beginning in September, Norwegian Jewel will shift to 11-day Canada and New England cruises, providing an option for travelers interested in fall foliage.
Alaska Offers a Cooler Summer Escape
For travelers who want to trade summer heat for cooler scenery, NCL is offering seven-day Alaska cruises from Seattle. The itineraries include opportunities to visit destinations such as Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway.
NCL is highlighting ships designed with scenic cruising in mind, including expansive observation decks and outdoor dining spaces where passengers can watch for glaciers, whales and other wildlife.
Norwegian Jade will also offer seven-day Alaska cruises from Vancouver, British Columbia. Travelers can extend their vacation with an optional NCL CruiseTour, which combines accommodations and tours on land with the cruise experience.
What the Summer NCL Offer Includes
The headline promotion is 50% off all cruises, with Kids Sail Free available on select sailings. The offer applies to NCL’s close-to-home summer cruise options spanning the Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda and Alaska.
When combined with Free at Sea, NCL says guests can potentially save more than $2,000 on amenities such as unlimited open bar, specialty dining, shore excursion benefits and Wi-Fi.
With departures available from 15 homeports across the United States and Canada, the appeal of the offer is not limited to the cruise fare itself. For travelers who can reach a nearby port by car, avoiding airfare can make a cruise vacation easier to plan while opening up several itinerary lengths and destinations.
