Norwegian Cruise Line is launching its first-ever Semi-Annual Sale, giving travelers 50% off all cruises along with free pre-paid gratuities on select sailings. The limited-time promotion covers a wide range of NCL itineraries, making it an option for travelers looking for a last-minute summer escape, a holiday vacation or an early start on 2027 travel plans.
Latitudes members receive early access to the sale on July 8 and 9, 2026, before the offer opens to everyone from July 10 through July 16. NCL says the free pre-paid gratuities offer can provide savings starting at $280 on a qualifying standard seven-night voyage for two.
The promotion can also be combined with NCL’s Free at Sea package, which allows travelers to add amenities such as unlimited open bar, specialty dining, shore excursion credits and Wi-Fi.
How the NCL Semi-Annual Sale Works
The headline offer is 50% off all cruises during the promotional period. On select sailings, guests can also receive free pre-paid gratuities, with the offer available for balcony stateroom categories and higher. NCL says the gratuity savings start at $20 per person per day.
Latitudes members get the first opportunity to book during the July 8 and 9 early-access period. Travelers who are not already members can sign up for a free MyNCL account to take advantage of the early access period.
The sale is designed to cover different types of cruise vacations rather than being limited to a particular destination or ship. NCL is highlighting Caribbean and Bahamas cruises, Mexican Riviera itineraries, Alaska voyages and European sailings as part of the promotion.
Caribbean and Bahamas Cruises Lead the Lineup
For travelers focused on warm-weather cruising, NCL offers Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries from homeports including Miami, Port Canaveral near Orlando, Galveston, New York City, New Orleans and Philadelphia.
Norwegian Aura will offer weeklong Caribbean cruises from Miami beginning in June 2027. The cruise line’s newer ships Norwegian Aqua, Norwegian Luna and Norwegian Viva will also sail in the region, combining Caribbean itineraries with onboard attractions, dining and entertainment.
Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna offer weeklong Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Miami or Port Canaveral. Both ships feature the Aqua Slidecoaster, which combines a roller coaster with a waterslide.
Norwegian Viva offers seven-day cruises from Galveston, Texas, with calls including Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico, Roatan in Honduras and Harvest Caye, NCL’s private resort-style destination in Belize. For shorter vacations, Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Joy offer four- and five-day roundtrip Bahamas cruises from Miami with visits to Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay.
Great Stirrup Cay Adds a New Reason to Book
Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas, is another major part of the cruise line’s summer promotion. The island is receiving new experiences, including the Great Tides Waterpark, which is scheduled to open September 4, 2026.
The nearly six-acre waterpark will feature 19 waterslides, industry-first cliff jumps, Splash Cay, a 9,000-square-foot kids’ splash zone, and the Wandering River, a nearly 800-foot water attraction with a high-energy current.
Guests can also enjoy the Great Life Lagoon with its expansive pool and two swim-up bars, Splash Harbor for younger guests and the adults-only Vibe Shore Club. Beachfront cabanas, paddleboarding and ziplining provide additional ways to spend time on the island.
Norwegian Encore Brings the Sale to the Mexican Riviera
Travelers interested in Mexico can book Norwegian Encore’s seven-day roundtrip Mexican Riviera itinerary from Los Angeles. The cruise visits Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta, combining coastal scenery with opportunities for cultural experiences and shore excursions.
Alaska Cruises Offer a Cooler Alternative
NCL’s Alaska options include seven-day roundtrip cruises from Seattle aboard Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Joy. The itineraries visit destinations including Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway while giving passengers opportunities to experience glaciers, wildlife and Alaska’s scenic landscapes.
NCL says it will have 12 ships sailing seasonally in Alaska through 2027, giving travelers multiple opportunities to explore the destination as part of its broader cruise schedule.
Europe Cruises Span the Mediterranean and Northern Europe
The Semi-Annual Sale also extends to NCL’s European itineraries, with 12 ships scheduled to sail in the region seasonally through 2027. Travelers can choose cruises in the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, British Isles and Northern Europe.
NCL offers departures from ports including Barcelona, Rome’s Civitavecchia, Venice’s Ravenna, Athens’ Piraeus, Lisbon and London’s Southampton.
Norwegian Epic will offer seven-day Mediterranean cruises between Barcelona and Rome, with calls in Spain, France and Italy. Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star and Norwegian Sun will also sail European itineraries covering the Mediterranean, British Isles, Northern Europe and other destinations.
